Miqxe has previously been a drama teacher, psychiatric nurse and housing support worker; as well as being part of the co-operative movement, working with wholefoods, radical books and community arts.
Miqxe is active within the Radical Faeries, especially in Europe with ARFE; with the Helios charity in London (previously led the Healer Training School there); and is currently a trustee of Islington Mill Foundation in Salford, and with the Cuconets ecoqueer land project in Tivissa, Spain.
They specialize in Jin Shin Do Acupressure: This has roots in ancient daoist practice, also incorporates Ericksonian techniques with elements from Wilhelm Reich and developed by Iona Marsaa Teegarden.
They started practising meditation in the 1970's; Qi Gong since 1984, and began healer and psychic development training with Maisie Besant in 1978.
