Terms & Conditions for Queer Spirit Festival 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all attendees of Queer Spirit Festival 2026. Please read them carefully before purchasing a ticket.
Definitions
- “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Queer Spirit Festival CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in the UK (Company No. 14681765).
- “The Festival” refers to Queer Spirit Festival 2026.
- “You” refers to the ticket holder or attendee.
General Information & Agreement
Queer Spirit Festival 2026 takes place from Thursday 13th August to Monday 17th August 2026.
- The site opens at 2:00 pm on Thursday 13th August.
- All attendees must leave the site by 3:00 pm on Monday 17th August.
By purchasing one or more tickets, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to:
- These Terms & Conditions.
- Any additional terms linked to your ticket type (including working tickets, payment plans, glamping, or trader agreements).
If you are purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of others, you must ensure they have read and agree to these terms and conditions, and any additional terms linked to your ticket type.
All ticket purchases are governed by UK law and form a legally binding contract between you and Queer Spirit Festival CIC.
We reserve the right, in the event of a breach of these terms, to:
- Refuse admission.
- Cancel tickets.
- Remove attendees from the site.
- Confiscate prohibited items.
We may conduct security searches of people and belongings at entry or during the event, in line with our duty of care and licensing requirements.
Eligibility, Tickets & Age Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older on 13th August 2026 to purchase a ticket independently.
- Tickets for anyone under 18 must be purchased by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
- Children under 6 years old on 13th August 2026 are admitted free but must have an infant ticket booked by a responsible adult.
All under-18's must be accompanied at all times by a parent, carer, or legal guardian, who assumes full responsibility for their safety, well being, and behaviour.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have purchased the correct ticket type(s).
Ticket Access & Wristbands
Each ticket provides access for the purchaser along with any people that they have also purchased the relevant option(s) for.
After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email containing your ticket. Please bring this with you, either printed or displayed on a mobile device.
On arrival:
- Your ticket will be checked.
- You and others in your party will be issued wristband(s).
Wristbands must be worn at all times and may be checked throughout the event.
- Wristbands that are missing, damaged, or tampered with may result in removal from site.
- Lost wristbands may not be replaced.
- Broken wristbands may be replaced only with photographic ID.
Vehicles, Camper-vans & Parking
- Camper-vans or live-in vehicles are only permitted to camp with a valid live-in vehicle pass.
- Caravans are not permitted unless agreed in advance.
- Vehicles remaining on site must have a valid car parking ticket (one ticket per vehicle).
Vehicle movement on site (excluding emergency vehicles) is not permitted between 10:00 pm and 10:00 am. If you leave during this period, re-entry may not be possible until after 10:00 am.
Payment & Payment Plans
Your ticket is only confirmed once full payment has been received and processed.
VAT: Queer Spirit Festival CIC is currently not VAT registered but this is likely to change in 2026. Once registered we will update the website with our VAT number and all sales will then include VAT at the UK rate.
Payment Plans
Where a payment plan has been agreed:
- Your ticket is held on condition that all payments are completed on schedule.
- The final payment must have cleared into our bank account at least one month before the festival start date.
- Failure to complete the payment plan will result in cancellation, with no refunds for amounts already paid.
- Payment plans may cost more than paying in full, to cover administration and processing costs.
Refunds & Event Cancellation
If you can no longer attend:
- 60+ days before the event: you will receive a full refund minus a 10% administration fee.
- 30–59 days before the event: you will receive a 50% refund.
- Less than 30 days before the event: no refund can be given.
If the festival is cancelled by us, we will aim to give at least two months’ notice and refund ticket fees in full and/or offer transfer to the next festival.
Attendance, Behaviour & Community Conduct
Queer Spirit Festival is a consent-based, inclusive, LGBTQIA+ spiritual gathering.
By attending, you agree to:
- Take responsibility for understanding the content and nature of workshops, rituals, and activities before participating.
- Speak with facilitators or the Village Hall team if you have questions or concerns.
Aggressive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or non-consensual behaviour will not be tolerated.
This includes behaviour towards:
- Attendees.
- Facilitators.
- Crew, volunteers, traders, performers, or staff.
Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from this festival and exclusion from future events.
Nudity, Dogs & Smoking
- Nudity is permitted only within the festival area but not in other parts of the Bridwell Park estate, such as the Orangery cafe and any area that can be seen from the main roads.
- Please be mindful of children and those new to clothing-optional spaces.
- Dogs are welcome but:
- Must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Owners must clean up and responsibly remove all waste.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any enclosed structures, including tents and marquees.
- Cigarette waste must be disposed of safely and never placed on the ground.
Prohibited Items
Please do not bring:
- Weapons.
- Fireworks, sky lanterns, lasers, or drones.
- Generators.
- Craft glitter.
- Tattoo or piercing equipment.
- Large gas bottles (over 6kg).
- Glass containers, bottles etc.
- Psychoactive Substances, illegal drugs, Nitrous oxide, ‘Legal Highs’ or any associated paraphernalia.
Prohibited items may be confiscated.
Trading
If you wish to bring goods to trade, please fill in the ‘trader’ application form.
Alcohol
Alcohol is permitted for personal consumption only and must be used in moderation. Alcohol-related antisocial behaviour may result in removal from areas or from the festival entirely.
Fire, Cooking & Gas Safety
- No open fires or fire pits are permitted anywhere on site, with the exception of the fires organised and maintained by the festival.
- Disposable barbecues are not permitted. Raised barbecues may only be used with appropriate fire safety equipment, including a safe means to extinguish the fire.
- Gas appliances must be used outdoors and in accordance with safety guidance.
- Refuelling and gas cylinder changes must take place outside.
Personal Safety & Wellbeing
You are responsible for your own physical, emotional, mental, and sexual wellbeing during the festival.
While we provide support structures and aim to create safer spaces, ultimate responsibility for self-care rests with you. If you normally require a support person or carer, we strongly encourage them to attend with you.
If attending with anyone under 18, you accept full responsibility for their care and safety.
Sauna – you agree to read and abide by any health and safety information and that you use those facilities at your own risk.

Wildlife & Parkland Deer
Bridwell Park is home to free-roaming deer.
- Deer must never be approached.
- They are wild animals and may act aggressively if threatened.
- The deer are capable of seriously injuring or killing dogs, people, and other animals.
Sustainability & Respect for the Land
Queer Spirit Festival values care for the land and environment.
Please:
- Bring reusable plates, cups, and cutlery.
- Use recycling points.
- Take rubbish home wherever possible.
- Use eco-friendly toiletries.
- Avoid wet wipes (or if necessary, bring biodegradable wipes only).
- Respect site boundaries and private land.
Property & Lost Items
You are responsible for your belongings. We cannot accept liability for loss or damage.
Lost property will be kept where possible for up to two weeks after the event, after which time it will be donated or recycled.
Photography & Recording
- Always ask for consent before taking photos or videos.
- No photography or filming during rituals.
- No recording in workshops without facilitator permission.
- No professional or commercial recording without authorisation.
Official photography may take place and we will aim to make this clear. All photos and videos will be made available for private viewing after the festival If you are identifiable within an image, you may request that you are cropped out or otherwise removed from the image. If this is not possible, the image will be deleted.
Privacy & Data Protection
Your personal data is handled in accordance with UK legislation including UK GDPR.
You will be subscribed to relevant Queer Spirit mailing lists but may unsubscribe at any time.
We respect confidentiality and expect attendees to do the same. We will not share the names or identities of any attendees without their express permission, and attendees must not share the details of other attendees without their permission.
Additional Terms
- Glamping: Subject to additional Glamping Terms & Conditions.
- Working Tickets: Subject to Crew Guidelines issued by team leaders..
- Traders: Subject to Trader Terms & Conditions, which override these where applicable.
