Section 2 of 2
Demographic Data Collection
The questions in this section are ALL OPTIONAL. Queer Spirit has high aspirations to be as inclusive and diversely representative as possible. We recognise that that is a lofty goal that we are never going to be able to fully achieve, but are always seeking to do better at. In order to pursue that goal, it's important for us to recognise areas where we are falling short. You can help us achieve this goal - and remain accountable to our wider community - by providing the following demographic data.
Will you use my data to discriminate against me?
Absolutely not! Queer Spirit abides by both the letter and the spirit of the Equality Act 2010, and hopes you will remember that this law protects (for example) all sexes (not just women), all races (not just non-white people), etc. You have already been approved as a facilitator; the data you provide below simply helps us identify if there are any unrealised patterns or biases in our recruitment or selection processes that we might be able to address in the future.
How will my data be treated?
Please be assured, all of this information is confidential and will be handled in line with the strictest GDPR protocols. Your information will be anonymized, encrypted, with access limited to only a few members of the Queer Spirit team, and all forms will be deleted within six months of the end of the festival.
Some of the conclusions we draw from the data collected may be published later on, but as previously stated, all information will be anonymised, and if you feel you can be identified from anything you have the right to demand that information be withdrawn.
