Welfare & Wellbeing
Welfare & Accessibility
The welfare and access team are available to provide emotional, physical, energetic and magical support as needed throughout the festival. Welfare and access team are available 24 hours a day, offering a safe and caring space where you can come for support, or just to chill in a quiet tent to recover from festival over load.
Private and confidential support is also available at any time from our experienced and compassionate volunteers. We can also help anyone with access needs, such as offering assistance with putting up tents. Accessible showers and toilets are also available in this area for those with access needs.

Recovery Group
Daily 7pm, Healing Dome We can be addicted to (or have compulsions and obsessions about) many things. Alcohol, drugs, food, work and relationships to name a few. We can also be affected when someone we love is in addiction. 12 Step Recovery Groups at Queer Spirit festival follow a general 12 Step meeting structure using the principles and traditions set out in AA. We will have readings, after which people will be invited to share without feedback or response - similar to a heart support circle.
People with any experience of any addiction are welcome. If you are unsure about the label of addiction or whether you qualify to need support - you are welcome. If you are curious for any reason about what happens in a 12 Step Group - this is an open space for all. We look forward to meeting you there.
